the old woman who lived in a shoe
November 29, 2004 on 8:43 pm | In Uncategorized | 2 CommentsI hope everyone had a good thanksgiving. Mine was pretty good. I did some homework, slept and ate alot, and went gambling for the first time. It was good to see everyone though.
Most of my break i spent trying to decide on which job offer to take. After analyzing all the pros and cons of each (and trying to do some negotiating), I came to somewhat of a conclusion.
i’m going away now. my head hurts.
shoes or medicine?
November 22, 2004 on 9:53 pm | In Uncategorized | No Commentsmy neck is still not working, and that makes me sad in my heart. I think that it might be getting just a little bit better though, so that is good.
I got a call today from that company in Topeka. They are giving me an offer. I have to decide what i want to do soon, because they need to know by December 1st. Do i want to live in Topeka or Kansas City? Which place do i want to work for? ARG!
oh to turn my head…
November 21, 2004 on 6:31 pm | In Uncategorized | 10 CommentsThis weekend was very unusual for me. Friday I found myself a lawyer to get my ticket fixed. Saturday, i did absolutely nothing. well, i guess that is not totally true. I did work on a project for 30 minutes, but that was it. I did make sure to pick the easiest part of the project to work on. Saturday night, a group of us went to Cowboys for Deanna’s birthday. It was packed. What disturbs me the most about Cowboys is how many old people come. Now, I have nothing against old people, but I don’t really want to see them make out, and i find it amusing when they try to dance and sing along with Eminem. Its not that I am trying to descriminate, but it is just strange to see so many different age groups engaged in the same types of activities. Every time i see some old couple 2-stepping, it reminds me of that country line-dancing show that is on at like 11 pm in st. louis. I always turned the station with a quickness, wondering who in their right mind would go to a place like that. its funny, that a place like that has become my favorite club.
Either I got down with my bad self a little bit too much, or i slept on my neck strange, because I haven’t been able to turn my head much without pain. I must have strained some muscles, which seriously surprises me. How in the world did i do that? I have some talent, if i can injure myself and not even know how. I hope that it goes away soon because i look like a dork when i turn with my whole body, and i am not really wanting to drive to St. Louis like this. I tried to stretch it out this morning, but it didn’t help for too long. Since then, I’ve just been doing some homework, watching star wars, and trying not to move too much.
I’ve been watching star wars alot lately, but i’ve been doing it backwards. not sure why, but i get the urge to start with ROTJ rather than ANH.
…and so that happened…
Christmas List
November 20, 2004 on 8:26 pm | In Uncategorized | 1 CommentSince thanksgiving is coming up, I figure that I should get my christmas list ready. So here it is:
- Han Shot First T-shirt
- Highlander Season 1
- X-Files season 1
- Geeky Welcome Mat
- 512 mb Flash Drive
- SMSU Hoodie
- Only the Strong DVD
- a small but hard CD case
This is a good start. Round 2 will be coming later.
might as well live here
November 17, 2004 on 8:18 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsUgh. I am camped out in the lab and just finished my oracle homework. I’ve been at it for 4 hours straight. I am tired and very hungry. I try to keep a sense of humor with homework assignments like this, because you can and will waste hours trying to find the error that prevents your pages from loading, and once you find this insignificant spelling error you think you are home free, only to realize once you load, that your values are not showing up, or that you forgot to do 5 different things, or that it just plain doesn’t work.
I am relieved to have it done, and now must leave in search of food.
