So much to say!

It seems like forever ago when I blogged last. I hope everyone is having a good holiday weekend.
Mine seemed long since we didn’t really go anywhere.
Friday was great. I don’t think that I have ever had a bad day on a Friday. It is just not possible. Especially now that I am working, the environment is so relaxed on Fridays, it is amazing! It doesn’t matter what happens, just the fact that it is Friday saves the entire day.

Saturday I went shopping and bought a little black dress. Every gal needs one and I have an upcoming wedding to attend. It will be the first wedding since ours so that will be neat to see things from a new perspective.
While I was shopping, Matt got a skid-plate installed on the new truck. It is so cute to see him outside polishing it and making a list of nifty things to add to the truck. I know that he’ll have a blast when we go home next. Hopefully we’ll have time to take it to the farm so he can drive through some puddles.

I do have to say though (on the record) that this buying a car business was not very fun. It seems like the dealership that we went to (Superior Toyota) did not have their act together. I think that we should have questioned their integrity. Something went wrong at each step of the process. Oh well…next time things will totally go different.

Sunday evening, we decided to watch Star Wars and try out that margarita mix that we’ve had sitting around the house. About half of the way into the movie, a very uncoordinated move landed me with a cut on my lip. And then in the middle of the examination of the bloody lip, one of us knocked the coffee table (grandma’s very wobbly table) and two very red strawberry margaritas went flying all over us, the futon and the carpet. Thank goodness for Shout stain killer!

Lately I have been really excited about going home next. It seems like it has been forever since we’ve been there…well I guess its been a couple months. We haven’t been there since the wedding. I am hoping that some other family will be able to make it into town that weekend as well. And we’ll be getting the wedding proofs soon. I’ll try to pick out about 20 photos for the photographer to put online so you can place orders. Otherwise, we’ll have to arrange a time for you to see the proofs. Email me if you plan on ordering some. The photographer wants to just put in one order so we’ll have to get everyone’s order together. But we’ll have to do it within the next month or two before the prices go up.

I picked up your car…but I didn’t get very far

So within the last couple weeks, Matt’s car has been making some strange noises. Knowing that both of our cars are getting older and that we will probably have to replace 1 if not both of them soon, we got it checked out right away, so we’d know at least how much life the paseo has in it.

I was so relieved to find out that some bolts just needed to be tightened and that there was nothing seriously wrong. Since I carpooled that day, my ride just dropped me off to pick up the car. I got in and only drove about 10 feet before this big F1-50 backed right into me! I even honked my horn before he hit, but he didn’t stop in time. How do I get hit before even leaving the parking lot?!! UGH!
