There is no place like home

Yep…we did it.
We closed on our house!

Nesting

We are supposed to close on our house this week and I am getting really excited.
If all goes well, this time next week we will be homeowners!!!
We’ve started packing, but there is still a ton to do!

I can’t wait to get in and get started on making it our own. The house, while only 9 years old, needs some work. All the work scares me a little so I’ll be relieved when it all gets done.

The first and perhaps the easiest items on the agenda are removing wallpaper and painting.
And I can’t wait to buy new furniture! It’ll be hard not to splurge right away. I’ve been gathering ideas from thenest.

We also bought a bunch of baskets at Home Depot for really cheap! I am gonna get organized from the start!

I am really hoping that the cold weather ends soon. One because we are getting a new roof put on the house.
Two because I don’t have much confidence in my car anymore. Matt used this little tool thingy to get all the engine error codes and there were 5 of them! I have no idea what they mean, but I can’t imagine that they are good! In addition to the wipers barely working, the heat is now going in and out. I don’t like driving it in such cold weather. Hopefully the weather will break and the car will last a bit longer!

Yep, that is pretty much it.
