notes from the staplernapper…

More notes showed up on my desk from Mr.Stapler’s kidnapper.

Not really sure what the big black box is in the second picture…any ideas?

I haven’t been sitting in at my desk much lately, but I suspect that someone in the aisle has to know who has Mr.Stapler. I’ve been asking (& searching), but nobody is talking.

Have you seen this stapler?

Mr.Stapler was last seen Tuesday May 13th around 9am
By 3pm that afternoon, he was gone.

The legal guardian of the stapler only had a few comments on the disappearance.
“We are praying for his safe return…Please, whoever did this, bring him back home. We miss him dearly.”

Authorities suspect it may have been a stapler-napping since the following note was left at the scene:

The author of the note is just one of the many unknowns authorities are attempting to piece together. At this time, it is believed that someone other than Mr.Stapler wrote the note. This is mainly because he lacks opposable thumbs.

A full investigation is underway. Authorities are now analyzing the building security records as well has having all suspects undergo a white-out penmanship analysis.

Mr.Stapler was last seen wearing nothing and carrying approximately 25 staples.
If you have any information into the disappearance of Mr.Stapler, please contact the local authorities.

project management

About a month ago, I started my first project as a project leader. Most of my work before that was rather technical, so I was really surprised when my boss brought up this opportunity.
Do you know what you want to do when you grow up? Cause I don’t. I’ve known that the “management versus technical track” would be a decision that I was going to have to make eventually, but it completely took me off guard.

I still don’t really know what I want to do when I grow up, but for now I am enjoying the project management stuff. I’m meeting with a lot of different people across the org and I’m learning a whole lot about business processes as well as business intelligence, project management, etc…

But it is not all good. Development hasn’t even started yet, and I’m already behind. I’ve been working a lot to try to stay on top of the aggressive project plan, and I see a lot more overtime in my future. :(

Hopefully the project is successful and on-time (without a ton of overtime)…wish me luck!

In the light

I wanted to try out a couple of the paint colors on the back of the house so that we could really see what the color was going to look like in different lights. I was surprised how different some of them looked.

My previous favorite was Hardware.
The right picture shows how it looks like on the wall (on the right side of the photo). It seems much greener on the wall.

The other color in this picture is Gauntlet Gray (7019). This is Matt’s favorite. Like the Hardware color, it is also not approved.

The other color I wanted to try was Link Gray.
The picture on the right shows what it looks like on the wall. It is on the left side of this pic. I don’t like this on the wall much.

The other two colors in this picture are both approved colors. On the bottom left, we have Intellectual Gray (7045), and on the right, Dorian Gray (7017). Both of these just seem to light to me.

Our favorite so far is Gauntlet Gray.

I’m a little nervous about how dark it is, but I think it will look nice. I just need to get the HOA to approve it. Wish me luck!
